Am 11.03.2011 erscheint "Live At Shea Stadium" von Billy Joel als 2-CD+2-DVD-Set. Billy Joel spielte die letzte Show seiner Amerika-Tournee am 18. Juli 2008 vor der historischen Kulisse des Stadions der New York Mets, das mittlerweile abgerissen wurde. Die beiden CDs und die erste DVD der Box enthalten mehr als zwei Stunden Hits, Raritäten und Lieblingssongs der Fans. „My Life“, „Zanzibar“, „Goodnight Saigon“, „The River Of Dreams“, „Only The Good Die Young“ oder „Piano Man“ sind nur eine kleine Auswahl der Klassiker, die Billy Joel an diesem Abend präsentierte. Dazu hatte er zahlreiche musikalische Wegbegleiter eingeladen.
So bieten die 25 Songs des Sets auch Duette mit Paul McCartney ("I Saw Her Standing There", "Let It Be"), Tony Bennett ("New York State of Mind"), Garth Brooks ("Shameless") und John Mayer ("This Is The Time"). Als Bonusmaterial gibt es noch gemeinsame Performances von Billy Joel mit Steven Tyler ("Walk This Way"), Roger Daltrey ("My Generation") und John Mellencamp ("Pink Houses").Zusätzlich enthalten ist eine zweite DVD mit der Dokumentation "The Last Play At Shea", die rund um das Konzert auch über die denkwürdige Spielstätte informiert, wo übrigens einst das größte Livekonzert der Beatles stattfand.
Das Billy Joel-Konzert ohne Dokumentation "Live At Shea Stadium" wird auch als Blu Ray angeboten. Diese Blu Ray bietet ebenfalls als Bonusmaterial noch die gemeinsame Performances von Billy Joel mit Steven Tyler ("Walk This Way"), Roger Daltrey ("My Generation") und John Mellencamp ("Pink Houses").

Billy Joel zählt mit mehr als 100 Millionen verkauften Alben zu den international erfolgreichsten Künstlern im Musikgeschäft. Songs wie „Piano Man“, „My Life“, „Movin´ Out“, „We Didn´t Start The Fire” oder „Uptown Girl“ sind zeitlose Klassiker. Für seine künstlerische Arbeit wurde der inzwischen 61-jährige Sänger, Songautor und Pianist mit vielen Auszeichnungen geehrt, darunter im März 1999 auch mit der Aufnahme in die „Rock ´n´ Roll Hall Of Fame“.
